Werner Husmann serves as a Vice president of Sales & Marketing for the company of Steinway & Sons, Hamburg. In this capacity he is overlooking all sales and marketing activities of this company worldwide, with the exception of all of the Americas.

Today, he is also the Chairman of the Board Steinway & Sons (Shanghai).

Before he was exploiting the business in China, he developed a distribution system in Japan, consequently finalizing this task with the foundation of Steinway Japan Ltd. (SJL), located in Tokyo, Japan, which does all wholesale activities for Steinway & Sons in this market.

Before, he was active as a Sales Representative for all over Asia, building and extending the distribution network in most of the Asian markets.

Before, he was in charge of sales and marketing in major European markets, like Switzerland, Netherlands and Scandinavian markets.

Before, he was running the Export division with responsibilities for all kinds of shipments, documentations as well as of export finance like Letter of Credit etc.

Before, he started as an apprentice at Steinway & Sons, educated in all kinds of business aspects, from cost account to bookkeeping, shipping, sales and purchasing.

Today, he is also lecturing at the William Steinway University at Hamburg and is training all sales and marketing staff of Steinway dealers.

He is also member of the Strategic Planning Group of Steinway & Sons Hamburg and New York.
